Youth welfare facility Edmond-Kaiser-Straße Leipzig
The first construction phase of the new outdoor facilities at the Edmond-Kaiser-Straße youth welfare center is nearing completion.
In addition to the construction of recreation and recreation areas, the basic traffic and media technology development of the two new buildings was established.
The drainage concept was developed in consultation with the Leipzig waterworks and planned on the basis of a climate-adapted and water-sensitive objective in accordance with the principles of cascade management.
Since, according to the geotechnical report and the currently valid worksheet DWA A 138 “Planning, construction and operation of systems for rainwater infiltration”, pure infiltration is not possible at the site, the focus was placed on rainwater management measures with partial infiltration, retention, evaporation and ultimately throttled discharge into the combined sewer of Edmond-Kaiser-Straße.
For the planned rainwater management measures, primarily open structures were planned as grass swales with evaporation effects via the greenery (evatranspiration) and tree trenches as underground retention areas with partial infiltration.
The result of the planned cascade management is an improved water balance compared to the existing situation and a lower evaporation capacity compared to the undeveloped situation.
The values for direct runoff and groundwater recharge could be improved with the planning compared to the existing and also to the undeveloped state.
New 2-field sports hall for secondary school Ratzelstraße Leipzig
The implementation planning for the “New 2-field sports hall for Ratzelstrasse secondary school” project is in the final phase.
In addition to the required car and bicycle parking spaces, the underlying open space concept includes the upgrading of the existing schoolyard with a variety of exercise options, including
- a calisthenics facility,
- a streetball facility
and
- a table tennis table.
The new open spaces are structured by a variety of plantings.
A new school garden with raised and open-air beds completes the greening measures.
The rainwater concept provides for intermediate storage and delayed drainage via a storage sewer with throttled discharge into Ratzelstraße.
An upstream rainwater storage tank with pump unit ensures the water supply for the new school garden and the planting.
Renovation of the “An der Biethe” secondary school in Dessau-Roßlau
The outdoor facilities at the “An der Biethe” secondary school are nearing completion.
In addition to the required bicycle and car parking spaces, the underlying open space concept includes popular exercise options, such as
- a streetball facility
and
- a table tennis table.
The large playground is lined with silver lime trees.
Small green areas in the east of the playground create seclusion and provide spaces to hang out and chat.
The planning of an attractive forecourt exposes the new central building front and the main entrance area of the renovated school.
The rainwater concept provides for intermediate storage and delayed drainage via grass swales and a storage sewer with throttled discharge into Karl-Liebknecht-Straße.
Rainwater retention – Apartment building in Leipzig
As infiltration is not possible at the planned building location, a throttled discharge of the rainwater into the adjacent public combined sewer was planned for this apartment building with the drainage planning.
The rainwater temporarily stored in the throttle shaft is available for garden irrigation, among other things.
Open space design – apartment building in Leipzig
In addition to the traffic development, the creation of extensive green roofs and colorful, varied planting, the open space concept for this multi-family house includes a variety of exercise equipment in the outdoor areas.
We are looking forward to the completion.
